Description
This funding opportunity provides financial support for the development and acquisition of law enforcement equipment, technologies, and interoperable communications systems that enhance the ability to respond to and prevent crime, while expanding community policing practices. Funding is available exclusively to state, territorial, local, Tribal, and other entities specifically designated in the Congressional Joint Explanatory Statement (JES) for the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026 (Public Law 119-74). Equipment funded through this program must comply with applicable requirements set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Office of Law Enforcement Standards.
