Description
This funding opportunity supports the activities of the Northeast Corridor Commission (NECC) as required by Section 212 of the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act of 2008 (PRIIA). The NECC was established to foster cooperation and coordinated planning across the Northeast Corridor's rail operations and related activities. Deliverables under this program include the development of a statement of goals, recommendations for corridor improvements, access cost determinations, and a report on economic development related to the corridor. The Commission comprises representatives from Northeast Corridor states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and Amtrak.
