Description
The Mississippi Department of Agriculture & Commerce's Garden Grants program provides funding to establish or enhance school and community gardens throughout Mississippi. The initiative includes two streams: the Growing Lunch school garden grant and the Let’s Plant community garden grant, both designed to foster hands-on agricultural experiences, educate about healthy eating, and connect children and communities with the origins of their food. The program is intended to bridge the gap between society and agricultural practices, encouraging healthier lifestyles and a deeper understanding of food sources.
