Summary: A one-year Mayo Clinic fellowship offering advanced training in gastrointestinal and liver pathology with extensive diagnostic, research, and collaborative clinical opportunities.
The Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is a one-year, ACGME-accredited program designed to provide comprehensive clinical and research training in the pathology of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases. Fellows gain exposure to a high volume and diverse range of cases, including endoscopic GI biopsies, liver biopsies (notably from transplant patients), and resected cancers of the GI, pancreatic, and hepatobiliary systems. The program emphasizes hands-on diagnostic experience, research involvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration, supported by one of the largest clinical laboratories in the world. Fellows also participate in teaching, working, and clinical conferences, and are expected to complete at least one research project with a manuscript submission by the end of the fellowship.
