--- ## Description The Geomorphology and Land-use Dynamics (GLD) Program supports fundamental research into the physical, chemical, biological, and anthropogenic processes that shape and modify landscapes over varying spatial and temporal scales. The program encourages projects that quantitatively investigate the coupling and feedback among landscape-shaping processes, their rates, and their relative roles—especially in the context of climatic, biological, and tectonic variation, as well as human impacts. Supported approaches may include fieldwork, modeling, experimentation, theoretical development, or combinations thereof. The program welcomes interdisciplinary and emerging research areas and encourages proposals that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries or include international collaborations. Joint support with other NSF programs is possible.
