The fellowship is intended for projects with significant relevance to sustainable development in the applicant’s home country or region, directly supporting the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The program is open to all academic disciplines, with a strong emphasis on gender balance and diversity, and particularly encourages applications from women and candidates from Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Fellows benefit from comprehensive support, including language courses, family allowances, and ongoing alumni engagement, aiming to foster international research collaboration, career development, and lasting impact in their countries of origin.
