The George D. Levy Engaged Teaching and Research Award honors a Cornell University faculty member whose collaborative efforts with the community have resulted in exemplary and sustained community-engaged learning projects. The award spotlights faculty whose courses, research, and activities demonstrate shared decision-making with community partners, build community capacity, integrate student learning outcomes in community engagement, and plan for sustaining community partnerships. Special consideration is given to faculty applying these principles in research settings that benefit undergraduate students. The award is administered annually by the David M. Einhorn Center for Community Engagement.
