Description
The Getty Scholars Program, administered by the Getty Research Institute and funded by the J. Paul Getty Trust, offers residential fellowships that foster innovative research on art and its histories. The program brings together established and emerging scholars from around the globe to engage with an annual theme, collaborate across disciplines, and access the Getty’s extensive resources. Fellowships are available for established researchers (Scholar Grants), recent PhDs (Postdoctoral Fellowships), and PhD candidates (Predoctoral Fellowships). The program also supports specialized initiatives such as the African American Art History Initiative (AAAHI).
