Description
The Getty Scholars Program at the Villa offers residential fellowships to support advanced research on the arts and cultures of antiquity. Scholars in residence engage with an international community of curators, conservators, and researchers, benefiting from direct access to the Getty Museum’s collection of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman art, conservation laboratories, and a specialized reference library. The program encourages interdisciplinary, comparative, and diachronic approaches to the ancient Mediterranean world and its global interconnections. Each year’s cohort pursues independent projects aligned with an annual theme, participates in weekly lectures, and benefits from a collaborative scholarly environment.
