Description
The Getty Scholars Program at the Villa offers residential fellowships to established researchers engaged in the study of ancient Mediterranean arts and cultures. Hosted at the Getty Villa in Malibu, the program provides an immersive environment for scholars to pursue independent research, interact with an international cohort of curators and conservators, and participate in activities focused on the annual theme. The 2027–28 theme is "The Classical World in Context: Glocalization," emphasizing interdisciplinary, comparative, and transregional approaches to the interconnectedness of the Mediterranean, Eurasia, and Africa in antiquity.
