This fellowship, offered by the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research in partnership with the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), provides one-year support for postdoctoral fellows (MD, MD/PhD, or PhD) conducting research on the basic biology of aging or translating laboratory findings into clinically relevant strategies to improve human healthspan. Projects should focus on fundamental mechanisms of aging or their direct relevance to human aging and healthspan, including research on how basic aging processes contribute to age-related diseases or functional disorders such as frailty. Strictly clinical, diagnostic, or social-context projects are not eligible. The fellowship aims to foster the careers of early-stage researchers dedicated to advancing aging science and its translation into interventions that promote healthy aging.
