This opportunity from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) seeks projects that operationalize the America First Global Health Strategy. The program aims to save lives, strengthen health systems, enhance efficiency, foster self-reliance, and ensure U.S. investments benefit American safety and prosperity. Funding is provided through an Annual Program Statement (APS) with specific Addenda signaling priority areas, such as child development/protection, rapid outbreak response, and health systems strengthening (e.g., in the Philippines). This APS is designed to complement, extend, or fill gaps in the implementation of bilateral Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with partner countries, but eligibility is not limited to countries with existing MOUs.
Applicants must first submit a Statement of Interest (SOI) in response to a specific Addendum; selected applicants may then be invited to submit a full application. Projects may address a wide range of health challenges, including infectious disease surveillance, outbreak response, child protection, and health system integration.
