The Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America (CSREA) at Brown University offers Graduate Student Research Grants to support dissertation research or major scholarly projects related to race, ethnicity, and/or indigeneity. The grants are intended for projects focusing on the United States, the Americas, or comparative transnational contexts. CSREA’s mission is to foster collaborative networks, promote public conversations, and enhance knowledge about racial and ethnic inequality, supporting efforts toward a more just and equitable society. Awardees are expected to report on their research outcomes and may be invited to present their findings to the Brown community.
