This grant supports collaborative Japan-U.S. symposia, conferences, or workshops that address issues of mutual concern, such as climate change, disaster prevention, public health, food and energy security, sustainable cities, demographic challenges, technological innovation, and more. Projects must foster dialogue, networking, and innovative approaches to shared challenges, and require active collaboration between U.S.- and Japan-based partners. The program aims to stimulate impactful and sustainable intellectual exchange benefiting both countries and addressing pressing societal issues.
