Description
This funding opportunity seeks Statements of Interest (SOI) for a cooperative agreement to conduct research on groundwater and surficial water salinity changes in Everglades National Park, using aerial electromagnetic (AEM) surveys. The project’s goal is to understand the current and projected extent of saltwater intrusion in the region, support adaptive management under the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP), and integrate new data with three decades of prior surveys. The research will directly inform restoration strategies and ecological management of the Everglades, with deliverables including data collection, analysis, reporting, and peer-reviewed publication.
