The H. Allen Brooks Travelling Fellowship, administered by the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH), enables recent graduates and emerging scholars in fields related to the built environment to undertake extended travel for three to twelve months. The fellowship is designed to foster intellectual and professional growth through firsthand engagement with architecture and landscapes. Rather than supporting research for academic degrees or publications, the program encourages immersive learning—through observation, contemplation, writing, sketching, and photography—across diverse international contexts. Fellows are expected to document their experiences and share insights that will shape their future work and contribute to the field of architectural history.
