Description
The H2Ohio Healthy Rivers Livery Grant supports livery owners in removing trash from Ohio’s rivers and streams. Part of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ H2Ohio Rivers Program, it promotes clean water and helps address long-standing cleanup needs. Livery owners and staff know the litter problems on their home waters and often sponsor cleanups, but may lack the resources to handle larger waste or host enough volunteers.
The program provides funding and resources to help canoe, kayak, and tubing outfitters organize river cleanups, educate visitors about responsible recreation, and encourage stewardship. Supported costs include cleanup tools, dumpsters, special or large waste disposal, and event advertising and promotion.
