Description
This opportunity funds nonprofit organizations to develop and deliver train-the-trainer programs for hazardous materials (HAZMAT) instructor training. The goal is to ensure HAZMAT employees receive comprehensive, ongoing training on the risks involved in transporting hazardous materials, comply with Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), and enhance overall safety in HAZMAT transportation. The program emphasizes initial and continuing education for instructors who, in turn, will train private sector HAZMAT employees, with priority given to organizations that can reach and involve a broad target population of HAZMAT employees.
