    Description

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), in partnership with multiple NIH Institutes and the HEAL Initiative, is announcing a forecasted limited competition opportunity for the renewal of Resource Centers (RCs) supporting the Pain Management Effectiveness Research Network (ERN). These RCs are integral to the planning, implementation, and completion of rigorous, large-scale multisite clinical trials focused on developing and validating effective pain management strategies for acute and chronic pain associated with various diseases and conditions.

The RCs will continue to provide:

    • Clinical trial operational expertise
    • Clinical coordination and safety monitoring
    • Data coordination and biostatistical support
    • Recruitment and retention resources
    • Access to additional clinical recruitment sites

The centers operate within the NCATS Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) consortium to facilitate studies with a shared focus on improving pain management.
