HLFS encourages collaboration among local producers, distributors, and community organizations, with a focus on equitable food access, supporting local agriculture, and building resilient food infrastructure. Activities supported include doubling the purchasing power of residents for fresh produce, connecting SNAP and WIC recipients with local producers, providing technical assistance to farmers markets, and conducting community outreach and data collection.
