Description
Founded by Mrs. Helen T. Leigh and offered by the Arkansas Humanities Council, this grant helps schools bring students to the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. It funds participation in a guided tour and museum programming, giving students an opportunity to explore the state’s military history in a museum setting. Students in grades three through twelve and public community colleges are eligible.
The grant is focused on the museum visit rather than classroom materials or independent research. Teachers must arrange both the tour and programming with the museum before submitting an application.
