The Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is a two-year program designed to train surgeons for academic leadership in HPB surgery. The fellowship offers an immersive experience in both fundamental and advanced clinical HPB surgery, with a strong emphasis on clinical research and multidisciplinary management. Fellows gain hands-on experience in surgical management of benign and malignant HPB diseases, laparoscopic HPB surgery, liver transplantation, intraoperative and endoscopic ultrasonography, operative ablative therapy, and intraoperative radiation therapy. The program also features didactic education, participation in educational conferences, and opportunities to pursue a postdoctoral diploma in clinical and translational science.
