The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) support early-career scientists with a PhD in a biological discipline or prior life sciences experience who wish to undertake innovative, interdisciplinary basic research at the frontiers of the life sciences in a new country. The LTF program is designed to foster transformative, high-risk projects that challenge existing paradigms and encourage international and interdisciplinary collaboration. Fellows must propose projects that are fundamentally different from their previous doctoral or postdoctoral work and move to a new country for their research. The program provides three years of funding, including a competitive living allowance, research and travel allowance, and additional support for relocation and dependents.
