Description
This opportunity invites R01 research project grant applications for high-priority biomedical and behavioral research that will provide scientific data to inform the regulation of tobacco products by the FDA Center for Tobacco Products (CTP). The goal is to generate findings directly relevant to the FDA’s regulatory authority under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, ultimately protecting public health.
Research must address one or more of the specified high-priority topics relevant to tobacco product regulation, such as addiction, behavior, health effects, product composition/design, or toxicity, with a focus on products like electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), nicotine pouches, and other emerging tobacco products. Projects addressing tobacco-related health disparities are encouraged as a cross-cutting theme.
