The ASH Hematology Inclusion Pathway (HIP) Medical Student Award is designed to support first-, second-, or third-year medical students enrolled in MD, DO, or MD-PhD programs in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. The program provides a mentored research experience in the blood sciences, career development guidance, and opportunities for professional networking within the hematology community. Awardees receive a stipend to conduct research under the supervision of an ASH member mentor and are supported to attend the ASH annual meeting to present their work. The award aims to foster interest in hematology, support career development, and increase diversity in the field.
