The Historian-in-Residence Fellowship at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) supports distinguished historians in writing a book about a significant historical event that offers policy-relevant lessons for today’s foreign policy challenges. In addition to book writing, fellows are expected to produce articles, lead a meeting series on history and foreign policy, and participate in CFR activities.
