This grant program, administered by the National Park Service, is designed to assist accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in documenting, preserving, and stabilizing historic structures on their campuses. Eligible projects focus on historic resources that are listed in or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, either individually or as part of a historic district or National Historic Landmark. Funding may also support survey, nomination, and preservation planning activities for historic HBCU campuses. All work must comply with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation.
