This opportunity from the California HIV/AIDS Research Program (CHRP) funds multi-disciplinary teams to establish or continue HIV Policy Research Centers in California. These Centers are expected to produce timely, actionable research on HIV and related syndemics, directly informing policy makers and stakeholders at the state and local levels. The Centers must foster partnerships among academic researchers, community-based organizations, and public health agencies, and are encouraged to build capacity for community engagement in policy research. The initiative emphasizes research that is policy-relevant, collaborative priority-setting, and dissemination to influence real-world policy and practice. Supplemental funds are available for activities that enhance research translation, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with California’s Ending the Epidemics strategies.
