The AATS Foundation Honoring Our Cleveland Clinic Mentors Program provides senior cardiothoracic surgery residents (chief or penultimate year) in North America with a unique, career-launching opportunity: a full-day seminar at the Cleveland Clinic. The program is designed to help participants understand the pathway to securing their first academic position, develop areas of expertise, and begin their careers in academic cardiothoracic surgery. The initiative also honors three former Cleveland Clinic staff members and past AATS Presidents: Delos M. Cosgrove, MD; Floyd D. Loop, MD; and Bruce W. Lytle, MD.
Participants benefit from interactive sessions, an evening reception, and the chance to attend Grand Rounds or observe in the OR. The program is highly regarded for its mentorship, leadership training, and practical advice for early-career surgeons.
