The Fulbright Canada – Honouring Nations Student Award, in partnership with the Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness, provides funding for American citizens—graduate students, prospective graduate students, and promising young professionals—to undertake research or graduate studies in Canada. The program is dedicated to advancing research on critical Indigenous issues, social connectedness, belonging, loneliness, and polarization within Indigenous communities. Projects may intersect with public policy, urban planning, healthcare, and environmental studies, among other fields. Awardees benefit from access to academic resources, the Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness and its Belonging Lab, and a network designed to amplify the impact of their work.
