The HOPE Meetings, organized annually by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), are designed to inspire and connect promising doctoral students and young researchers from the Asia-Pacific and Africa regions with Nobel laureates and other distinguished scientists. The program fosters interdisciplinary discussion, cultural exchange, and networking among participants, aiming to broaden scientific perspectives and cultivate values rooted in diverse regional cultures. Activities include lectures, small group discussions, poster sessions, team presentations, and cultural excursions, all conducted in English and held in Japan over about five days.
