Description
The Washington State Department of Commerce’s Multifamily Housing Unit administers this opportunity through the state Housing Trust Fund. It provides capital funding for affordable multifamily rental projects serving low-income people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Washington.
Projects must increase the state’s affordable housing stock or preserve existing affordable housing through rehabilitation. This funding is dedicated to housing for people with IDD, rather than other components of a mixed-use project. Facilities that provide medical or mental health services with housing or residential stays are generally not eligible for Housing Trust Fund funding.
