Description
This opportunity funds Hawai‘i-based nonprofit organizations to increase access to Native Hawaiian cultural places and activities, with the goal of perpetuating Indigenous knowledge and culture. Funding supports travel for participants experiencing barriers to in-person engagement—such as those in rural or underserved areas—to attend meaningful events, connect with practitioners, and participate in ʻāina-based activities. Eligible expenses include transportation, lodging, food, and costs related to post-travel knowledge sharing. The program is designed to help organizations foster intergenerational learning, cultural pride, and community connection by reducing logistical and financial barriers to cultural engagement.
