The goal is to fund high-quality research that addresses critical, policy-relevant questions related to housing and community development, particularly those that support HUD’s mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and provide quality, affordable homes for all.
Eligible institutions include Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), Tribal Colleges and Universities, and Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian-Serving Institutions. The research must address one or more of the Eligible Research Questions outlined in the NOFO, which are derived from HUD’s Learning Agenda and informed by input from practitioners, advocates, people with lived experience, researchers, and policymakers.
