This program is a partnership between the Hudson River Park Trust (HRPT) and the City University of New York (CUNY), designed to fund applied research and resource management projects within Hudson River Park’s 550-acre estuarine sanctuary in Manhattan. The program leverages the park’s unique urban and ecological setting as a living laboratory, encouraging innovative research in climate resilience, habitat enhancement, water quality, terrestrial ecology, and sustainability. Projects must align with the Park’s Estuarine Sanctuary Management Plan and are expected to include immersive, mentored research experiences for CUNY students at all levels.
