The DreamScience Foundation and the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) jointly provide seed grants to stimulate dream-related research that students and professionals might otherwise be unable to pursue. The partnership supports IASD’s research mission and invites high-quality quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods projects. Research areas include the biology and neuroscience of dreaming, phenomenological and psychological studies, and anthropological and cultural studies.
The program prioritizes value to dream science and the populations served, solid methodology and research design, and feasible objectives. Special sponsorships may support disciplines such as PTSD or lucidity, or particular populations and research areas, when announced in the call. Applicants from ethnic groups underrepresented in dream research may also request IASD DEI Dream Research Grant support within the same application.
