The International Multilateral Partnerships for Resilient Education and Science System in Ukraine (IMPRESS-U) is a collaborative funding initiative led by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) in partnership with research agencies from Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The program aims to foster excellence in science, engineering, and education through international collaboration, while supporting the integration and resilience of Ukrainian researchers within the global research community.
Projects must address scientific or technical challenges in any NSF-supported field and require substantive collaboration among researchers from the U.S., Ukraine, and at least one additional participating country. Priority is given to projects that enhance the efficiency and resilience of international partnerships, prepare an internationally engaged research workforce, and contribute to building a modern research, education, and innovation ecosystem in Ukraine. The initiative particularly encourages the involvement of students and early career researchers.
