Summary: Supports exploratory and developmental research projects addressing critical needs in Down syndrome research as part of the NIH INCLUDE Project.
This funding opportunity supports new exploratory and developmental research projects that address critical needs for Down syndrome research, as outlined by the NIH INvestigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE (INCLUDE) Project. Projects may assess the feasibility of innovative research areas, experimental systems, or novel methodologies with the potential to advance health-related research for individuals with Down syndrome. High-risk, high-reward studies, as well as unique applications of existing methods to new scientific questions, are encouraged. The goal is to fund research that could lead to breakthroughs or novel techniques, agents, models, or applications with significant impact on biomedical, behavioral, or clinical research relevant to Down syndrome.
