Description
The Children's Heart Foundation's Independent Research Awards provide substantial support for research projects aimed at improving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects (CHDs). The program seeks to fund the most promising clinical, translational, and population science initiatives that can make a meaningful impact on pediatric cardiology. Projects may address a range of topics including genetics, maternal/fetal health, surgical/interventional techniques, neurodevelopmental outcomes, technological advancements, quality improvement, health disparities, and life-long care for individuals with CHDs.
