This program provides competitive grants to federally recognized Indian Tribes and Tribal Organizations (T/TOs) to enhance health management infrastructure, support the assumption of Indian Health Service (IHS) programs, and improve management capabilities. The grant aims to help T/TOs prepare for or expand their management of IHS programs, functions, services, and activities (PFSAs) under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (ISDEAA). Funding is also available for technical assistance, program planning, evaluation, and the development of management systems necessary for contract management.
