The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (Indiana CTSI) runs the T32 Postdoctoral Training Awards in Translational Research, funded in part by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). The program provides promising postdoctoral fellows with mentoring in research-intensive, multidisciplinary settings. Its purpose is to develop research careers that advance findings from basic laboratory and preclinical work toward treatments, clinical implementation, and population health.
Indiana CTSI aims to make awards across all four translational stages: T1, basic laboratory and preclinical research; T2, development of new treatments, interventions, or clinical trials; T3, dissemination or clinical implementation; and T4, population health outcomes and health metrics. These phases need not follow a linear sequence, and projects may skip steps depending on their starting point and the work involved.
