    Description

    This grant supports the exploration and planning of new Graduate Medical Education (GME) residency programs in Indiana. It is designed to expand medical residency opportunities, particularly in primary care and shortage specialties such as Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and Internal Medicine. Special emphasis is placed on projects serving rural and underserved areas and on collaborative, consortium-based approaches among healthcare entities. The funded feasibility studies are intended to guide the development of new GME programs and address gaps in physician training and placement across the state.
