Description
This award funds transdisciplinary teams to develop innovative ideas into comprehensive proposals for future randomised controlled trials (RCTs) focused on optimizing licensed pharmaceutical interventions—such as vaccines or therapeutics—for key infectious diseases. The goal is to generate evidence that can drive policy, practice, or guideline changes to benefit low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), particularly in Africa, South Asia, or South-East Asia. The scheme emphasizes team capacity building, stakeholder engagement (including affected communities), and inclusive research environments to ensure that future clinical trials are feasible and impactful.
