Description
This funding opportunity enables teams led from Africa, South Asia, or South-East Asia to develop detailed, innovative proposals for future randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that optimize licensed pharmaceutical interventions (vaccines or therapeutics) for infectious diseases. The focus is on diseases such as mycobacterial infections, bacterial infections, invasive fungal infections, dengue, leishmaniasis, or schistosomiasis, with the aim of generating evidence to inform policy, practice, or guidelines and achieve near-term impact in low- and middle-income countries. The award supports team building, stakeholder engagement, and preparatory research activities necessary to develop a robust clinical trial proposal.
