--- ## Description The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the NIH, intends to release a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the establishment of a network of Influenza Transmission Research Centers. The goal is to support basic research that elucidates fundamental mechanisms underlying human-to-human transmission of seasonal influenza viruses. Centers should assemble collaborative, multidisciplinary teams to investigate the dynamics, drivers, and factors influencing influenza transmission, and to develop novel resources to advance the field of respiratory virus transmission.
