Description
Innovate Alabama’s Talent Pilot Program provides foundational support for emerging talent initiatives across Alabama. Launched in April 2025, the program funds innovative for-profit entities to pilot, test and refine approaches to workforce and talent development. Grants serve as proof of concept for scalable solutions aligned with state economic priorities, with work-based learning initiatives receiving priority.
Supported initiatives provide skills, knowledge and resources in STEM fields or entrepreneurship. They may serve K–12 students and educators, higher education students and educators, or the adult workforce. The program seeks to strengthen Alabama’s capacity to develop and retain a skilled, innovative workforce through measurable outcomes and long-term sustainability. Initiatives with regional impact, partnerships among multiple organizations, or a rural focus receive special consideration.
