Summary: Supports commercialization of scalable, affordable innovations for electrification, energy efficiency, and load management in New York buildings to reduce emissions and improve building performance.
Key Information: Projects must be demonstrated at committed New York State sites and provide direct benefits to NY ratepayers.
This opportunity from NYSERDA aims to accelerate the commercialization of innovative, affordable solutions that can be rapidly scaled to enable building electrification, reduce peak energy loads, and improve the efficiency of New York State's building stock. Projects must focus on one or more of the following areas: energy efficiency, electrification, or load management. Solutions should demonstrate strong potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency, increase affordability, and enhance resiliency, especially in existing residential, multifamily, and small/medium commercial buildings. Preference is given to projects benefiting low- to moderate-income households and disadvantaged communities. All funded projects must include a demonstration at a committed New York State site.
