This program funds the development, piloting, and research of bold, potentially transformative approaches to STEM graduate education. It aims to enhance the skills, knowledge, and career readiness of master's and doctoral students in STEM fields, as well as to support research on the effectiveness of systemic interventions and policies in graduate education. The program encourages proposals that address workforce development, broad participation, and institutional capacity-building, and supports collaborations with a wide range of partners, including industry, NGOs, government agencies, and academic organizations.
