The U.S. Mission to Cameroon invites proposals for the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) 2026, supporting projects led by alumni of U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange programs. The program aims to advance bilateral priorities, strengthen people-to-people ties, and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States (Freedom250) through initiatives that honor American values of freedom, democracy, and innovation.
Projects may address youth unemployment, transparency in critical sectors, local tensions, or foster regional cooperation through innovation, digital technology (including AI), entrepreneurship, or sports diplomacy. The opportunity includes up to two national alumni-led projects in Cameroon and one Central Africa Regional Alumni Summit, engaging participants from Cameroon and neighboring countries.
All proposals must include robust Freedom250 digital outreach and sustainability plans, and must visibly celebrate the anniversary milestone.
