--- ## Description Breakthrough T1D's Innovative Awards are designed to support highly innovative, high-risk, high-reward research projects that could significantly advance the understanding, treatment, or prevention of type 1 diabetes (T1D). The program seeks proposals that address critical unanswered questions, challenge current paradigms, or offer the potential for groundbreaking discoveries. Projects should be based on plausible and testable concepts with a focused, well-defined goal achievable within a one-year timeframe. Preliminary data are not required, but the central hypothesis must be justified.
