--- ## Description Breakthrough T1D's Innovative Awards provide one year of seed funding to support highly innovative, high-risk/high-reward research projects that have the potential to significantly accelerate progress toward preventing, treating, or curing type 1 diabetes (T1D). Projects should address key outstanding questions or propose paradigm-shifting concepts in T1D research. The program encourages creative approaches that challenge current thinking or could lead to groundbreaking discoveries. Proposals should be focused, plausible, and achievable within the award period, and must be directly applicable to T1D.
