Description
This Horizon Europe Innovation Action funds large-scale demonstration and deployment projects aimed at accelerating the adoption of circular textile practices—specifically innovative collection, sorting-for-reuse, and repair systems—at the city and regional level across Europe. Projects should develop, test, and validate solutions that foster textile reuse and repair, involve citizens and local businesses, improve data on textile waste flows, and implement advanced sorting and digital tools (e.g., digital product passports, AI solutions).
The initiative is part of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) and aligns with EU strategies such as the European Green Deal, the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, and the Circular Economy Action Plan. Projects must use a multi-actor approach, include robust evaluation of economic, environmental, and social impacts, and contribute to knowledge sharing for replication in other European cities and regions.
